Does anyone else have the ‘wife is right’ dynamic going on in their household? No? Just me? Okay. I say this all with much love and jest. I’m more than happy for my wife to be right because she usually is. She’s one of those people who is always like ‘I trust my gut’. I struggle to understand or get behind that kind of rhetoric. Trusting your gut? Where’s the logical application there? How do you weigh-up the pros and cons of a situation? What amazes me is the confidence she has in ‘trusting her gut’. The strange thing about it is, her ‘gut’ has always been right. I can spend days and days mulling over a thought or decision, jotting notes to myself, brainstorming, getting advice from others and researching online while she’ll simply make a decision based on butterflies in her belly.
Those same butterflies in her belly are telling us to consider an ensuite bathroom renovation. Recently we had some work done on one of the showers in our home and my wife was extremely impressed with the service we received from the bathroom renovations company. Since this renovation, she has not stopped raving about these renovators and now has plans to renovate our ensuite! There is one downside to all this enthusiasm, though; her mother is always over. Boys, some of you probably know what I’m getting at. No matter how lovely your mother-in-law is, having her over all the time is not always ideal. Sometimes you want space to sprawl out and chill without worrying you’re being judged. My wife’s mother doesn’t have a judgmental bone in her body, but there’s a weird part of me that still feels like I need to impress her.
I’m happy to be using the highest-rated bathroom designers close to Melbourne. I’ve seen how some of my mates’ bathrooms have turned out after renovations with other designers, and let’s just say it’s not pretty. As we have worked with these renovators before, we know we’re in good hands. Plus, I have my wife’s ‘gut instinct’ leading the way.
